On The Fly Photography
Most of the images on my site are copyright On The Fly Photography or Time/Place Photography.
Copyrighted Images:
If you are in the image or were involved in production of the image then you likely have permission to use that image for your personal use and promotion. When using images on the internet or sending via email please use the images that have my watermark on them.
For printing you will have gotten a DVD from me with high resolution photos if you followed the instructions. Those will not have a watermark on them and are provided for you to print.
If you want to use a copyrighted image of mine and you were not involved in the production of that image you can purchase the photo as a print or digital file and the limited rights for use from my SmugMug account.
Or contact me and ask about using the photographs. Depending on your project I may cut you a deal or even let you use my images for free if I love what you are doing.
You do not have the rights to alter, modify, remix, Photoshop or crop any of my copyrighted images without my consent.
Creative Commons Images:
Some of my photos are released under a Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike license. What does that mean? To quote the Creative Commons web site:
This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. Others can download and redistribute your work just like the by-nc-nd license, but they can also translate, make remixes, and produce new stories based on your work. All new work based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also be non-commercial in nature.
Specifically in the case of my images:
1. If you use my images any place on the internet please credit On The Fly Photography or Time/Place Photography as appropriate and post a link to my site.

2. My Creative Commons images can be modified & remixed. Please give me credit for the original image.

4. My Creative Commons images may not be (a) sold nor used for any commercial purpose nor (b) used in any printed or digital presentation or format which is sold or not freely available to any member of the public without my permission and possible payment to me.
