Adobe Lightroom 2.6 review: follow up

A few follow up comments on Adobe Lightroom 2.6

I’ve noticed three things that are really annoying.

1. When working with really large (400 MB and up) tiff files I often get a message that says “An unknown error has occurred.”   So far I haven’t actually noticed any effects of this error, but since I don’t know what’s happening I can’t really say that “nothings happening”.

2. Memory management needs some help.  When working with a number of large files I start getting out of error messages.  What’s really funny is that the text of the error message is reversed and upside down.  Interesting.

3. Sometimes when making a flash based gallery for the web Lightroom will throw out an error that a certain file is missing.  The file is not missing.  I have to shut down Lightroom and restart it – then it will find the file.  This same error also appears in the Lightroom 3.0 beta – which I will be posting a review about soon.
