I am seriously offended. I mean pissed off. Once I’ve told my story I expect you will be equally infuriated with this assault on the public and our morals.
Sunday I was over in Loveland and stopped off at Lil’ Mike’s for a super yummy pizza. Are you sick of me plugging Lil’ Mike’s yet? I don’t blame you, but you are just gonna have to deal with it. Anyhowz, I’m looking across the street at the Loveland Museum and I see a bunch of people outside with signs. You’ve seen then folks around town before. They have the sign that says “Carpet Sale Today Only” or “Car Wash” or “Earth Love Dry Cleaners”. Whatever it may be.
Usually you only see one sign holder, but this was a whole big group of ’em. Their signs were advertising a display in the Loveland Museum. I don’t recall exactly what they said, but essentially the signs promised that there was pornography on display in the museum.
Well hell. I love pornography. I had to check this out. Once I was finished with my yummy pizza (get the pesta sauce) I headed over to the Museum. I walked thru the sign holders and said “Howdy” to ’em. I asked one of them how much they got paid for this as I’m always looking to make an extra buck. She told me she wasn’t getting paid, she was doing this because she cared about the community. That’s pretty awesome I thought – to spend your Sunday giving back to the community. What a great group of people.
I went into the museum to check it out – and here is where I became outraged. There was no pornography. There was some crappy art. There was some okay art. There was some old stuff. There was some “art” that looked like children’s drawings that you would see on someone’s refrigerator.
There was no pornography. Trust me on this. I know pornography when I see it and I couldn’t find any.
I am outraged.
If you are going to advertise the availably of pornography then you need to put out. For the Loveland Museum to entice people inside with a bait and switch tactic like this is just indefensible. Have these people no moral standards at all? I urge you to write letters of protest to the Loveland City Council and the media.
In fact I might even make up a sign of my own and protest.
